Passivhaus, Chichester Harbour, West Sussex.
King & Drury have been appointed as Principal Contractors for the demolition and redevelopment of a striking new family home set within the tranquil setting of Chichester Harbour.
Following the successful planning approval for a replacement dwelling, the home will be built to Passivhaus standards, achieving exceptional levels of thermal insulation and airtightness.
The architecture draws on the local vernacular, combining high performance with craftsmanship and authenticity. The material palette features Sussex handmade bricks, sandy-toned flintwork, vertical oak cladding set within solid oak framing, and a mix of heritage clay tiles and zinc roofing, a thoughtful blend of traditional materials and contemporary detailing befitting its coastal surroundings.
